About a month ago, a man was killed in his home at Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat area as a result of an attempted robbery. However, shocking discoveries have been made by the police as the deceased man was murdered by his own family.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Zeeshan Asghar, the victim’s name was Arshad.
Originally, the incident was reported as a robbery by his family. The version given was that Arshad was killed in resistance against dacoits, protecting his family.
However, recent discoveries revealed that it was all staged as the man’s family was involved in his murder.

Following the murder investigation of Arshad, a family man, police have arrested four individuals involved in his death. Two of the people in custody are the man’s wife, Sajda Bibi, and his daughter, Saira. The other two culprits are Moazzam, Saira’s suitor, and Irfan, a friend of Moazzam.
Police investigation revealed that Arshad’s murder was staged as a robbery cum murder as a cover-up to the actual events that led to his death.
According to the police investigation, Saira wanted to marry Moazzam but her father refused the proposal. In retaliation, the daughter handed over her father’s licensed pistol to Moazzam – who with the help of his accomplice, Irfan, gunned down Arshad. The victim’s wife reported the incident as a home robbery gone wrong.
