Pakistan Navy Releases Documentary Film ‘Surkhru’ for Naval Day

Tribute to the valor, courage and grit of our naval heroes.

In honor of celebrating National Naval Day, the Pakistani Navy decided to release a very special documentary film Surkhru. The film is a tribute to the naval forces and their services for our nation.

On 8 September, Pakistan unites to observe Naval Day. The occasion is held every year since the 1965 war.

The Naval Day is a way to honor and acknowledge the brave sacrifices and fighting spirits of our Naval heroes who epitomized courage, valor, and grit during the historic war of ’65.

As a way to celebrate our national naval defenses, Pakistan Navy released a tributary documentary about the valiant heroes for successfully discharging their duties. The film is titled Surkhru and it promises to be a riveting watch of maritime war weaponry and tactics.

According to the spokesperson for the Pakistani Navy, the documentary film is based on true events about a successful operation carried out by the brave Naval forces to thwart an Indian submarine from entering into Pakistani waters. The incident happened last year on 4 March as the Pakistani Navy intercepted an Indian submarine that had nefarious designs.

The Naval Day reminds us of the heroic and daring achievements of our Ghazis and ‘Shuhada’ who fought gallantly and humbled a big adversary like India with their absolute faith in Allah.
