As Waseem Badami went to perform Hajj-e-Akbar this year, he encountered a Pakistani man with an inspiring story.
He met the Pakistani man who used to set the microphone for the Imam of Khana Kaaba before the start of every prayer. His name is Rasheed and he has had the privilege of doing this job for years now.
Based on what he told the television show host, this man has been doing this job for years now. WaseemBadamsi then asked him more about his job and about his feelings about being responsible for this most prestigious job.
Turns out that he’s actually a Lahore native and came to Saudi Arabia almost a decade ago. Meanwhile, he has been doing his current job for some five years now.
“I belong to Lahore, I set Imam-e-Kaaba’s mic, I have been doing this duty for 5 years and I have been part of Haram for 10 years. I got this job after I applied for it, through a specific company that hires servants for Khana Kaaba.”
He really just applied for a job in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ended up being hired for this position. Rasheed attributes this to the prayers of his father.
“I applied for the Job in Saudi Arabia (Khana Kaaba) and it’s my father’s prayer and his wish which is accepted for me. He prayed for me when he was paralyzed as I used to do all his chores. I also forfeited a chance of Umrah to look after my father after which he prayed for me. Before his death, he sent me to Saudi Arabia. On the first day of my job, my father passed away. I always dreamed to go for Hajj or Umrah and now I live here. It is all due to my father’s prayers.”
Rasheed said that he cries while offering prayers after Imam-e-Kaaba. Is his inspirational or no? Let us know in the comments below.
