Famous Baloch singer, Wasu Khan has passed in Sukkur today. The Baloch musician, who rose to prominence due to his collaboration with Shehzad Roy, was suffering from a prolonged breathing illness and was shifted to a private medical facility where he breathed his last.
The family of Wasu Khan confirmed the news to a local media outlet, as did renowned singer/songwriter, Shehzad Roy, who wrote a heartfelt note about the late folksinger’s passing on social media.

Shehzad Roy took to his Twitter account to announce the passing of his friend. He tweeted,
Wasu Khan passed away this morning. He was unable to read and write, but had great political intellect and wrote political satire. We will miss him. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un #WasuKhan pic.twitter.com/glQdHURW7k

The popular singer also shared a snippet from the music video of his hit single Apney Ulloo, which featured the late Baloch singer.
The song not only made Wasu famous but also revived Shehzad Roy’s music career, helping Roy reinvent himself with more thought-provoking and catchy songs with Wasu Khan. The two formed a unique musical duo that spanned over a decade.
