Veteran actress Hina Bayat recently shared a viral video on Instagram of her dancing joyfully to the Bollywood hit “London Thumakda” on Leicester Square in London.
With a carefree smile, Hina grooved alongside a crowd of people while a young boy sang the song in his melodious voice, creating a lively street performance.
In her caption, Hina explained the moment, writing:
For one artist, from another… When a musician recognizes you & requests you to join him in his performance 🎶🎵🎶.
While many appreciated her spontaneity and positivity, others criticized her for dancing during Ramadan. Social media users flooded the comments section with their opinions, with some questioning her actions and others defending her right to enjoy a moment of happiness.
One user commented, “Dance karne per Mashallah na kahen plzzzz,” to which Hina responded gracefully, saying, “Khush rehne per Mashallah keh rahay hain. Aap bhi khush rahain aur doosron ko bhi rehne dain.”
Another user expressed frustration over the negativity in the comments, writing, “I don’t understand why people spread hate when someone is just living their life.” Hina replied, “Your words embody the spirit of our deen. Jazaak Allah khair.”
Hina also addressed the backlash directly, explaining that her participation was a gesture of kindness toward the artist who had invited her to join. She added that spreading happiness and kindness is never a bad idea, regardless of the circumstances.
In another heartfelt reply to a supportive comment, Hina Bayat shared her perspective: “We are blessed if we can be grateful in any circumstances. Only Allah knows our intentions, and only He brings joy to our hearts.”
