Islamabad Police have swiftly solved the murder case of 17-year-old TikToker Sana Yousaf, arresting the accused and recovering the murder weapon within 20 hours of the incident. The breakthrough comes as a relief to the public and Sana’s family, who were left shocked by the brutal killing.
Sana Yousaf, a popular social media influencer from Chitral with millions of followers, was shot dead in her home in Islamabad’s G-13 sector on Monday. The incident occurred while Sana was at home and her mother was out buying groceries. According to an alleged neighbor, a masked intruder entered the house and shot Sana three times, killing her on the spot before fleeing the scene. The murder took place within the jurisdiction of Sumbal Police Station.
Authorities responded quickly, collecting evidence from the scene and reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras. Sana’s body was transported to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a postmortem examination, and after legal formalities, was handed over to her family. The tragic event occurred just a day after Sana had celebrated her 17th birthday.
Islamabad Police announced that the accused was apprehended just an hour before the official statement. During the arrest, police recovered the pistol used in the crime as well as Sana’s iPhone. The suspect has confessed to the murder.
