YouTuber Rajab Butt has been named as an accomplice in a rape First Information Report (FIR) filed against his cousin Salman Haider. The FIR, registered at Nawab Town Police Station, accuses Haider of rape, blackmail, and unlawful confinement, while Butt is alleged to have assisted in locking the complainant and her sister inside a room during a confrontation.

The complainant, a female social media activist, reported that she initially befriended Salman Haider through social media. Their relationship involved frequent public meetings until August 16, 2024, when Haider invited her to his residence in Bahria Orchard. Trusting him, she accepted the invitation.

According to the FIR, upon arrival, Haider offered her a drink laced with an intoxicating substance. After consuming it, she lost consciousness. When she regained awareness, she realized she had been raped, noting her shirt buttons were undone. Fearful of social stigma, she initially chose to remain silent and did not inform her family.

The situation escalated when Haider began blackmailing her with an explicit video he had secretly recorded without her consent. He also sent the video to her sister, Palwasha, prompting both sisters to confront Haider at his home.

During this confrontation, Rajab Butt, along with Man Dogar, Jawad Haider, and Jahangir Butt, were present. The complainant alleges that these men locked her and her sister in a room. Jawad Haider reportedly confiscated their mobile phones, reset them, threatened the sisters, and then forcibly expelled them from the premises.

This case follows an earlier incident in May, when a video surfaced on social media showing Rajab Butt and his associates allegedly assaulting a young man. The victim had filed a legal complaint at Satu Katla Police Station, but after Rajab Butt issued a public apology and termed the incident a misunderstanding, the victim accepted the apology and withdrew the complaint.

The Nawab Town police have registered a criminal case against all five suspects—Salman Haider, Rajab Butt, Man Dogar, Jawad Haider, and Jahangir Butt. Despite the FIR and serious allegations, no arrests have been made so far.

The complainant has urged the authorities to take strict legal action against the accused under the law. Police investigations are ongoing.
