Aima Baig Gets Roasted for Throwing Not-So-Subtle Shade at Shiraz Uppal

“Funkariyaan Laga Lo, Or To Kuch Milna Nahi.”

Songstress, Aima Baig took a not-so-subtle dig at Shiraz Uppal after being called out for her latest single “Funkari“.

Aima has found herself embroiled in another controversy after Shiraz Uppal pointed out that he was the sole writer, composer, and producer of the song.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Aima Baig posted a cryptic message using the title of her song to make a point. She wrote,

Laga Lo Laga Lo, Funkariyaan Laga Lo, Or To Kuch Milna Nahi. Haha.

The clever use of the song title seemed to be aimed at Shiraz Uppal, implying that he should take credit for the song and move on. However, the post was met with backlash, prompting Aima Baig to delete it from her social media.

The controversy surrounding “Funkari” started when Aima Baig claimed that the song was co-written by her and the late lyricist Shakeel Sohail. However, Shiraz Uppal quickly corrected her statement, asserting that he was the sole writer, composer, and producer of the song.

He clarified that Shakeel Sohail had passed away six months prior to the creation of “Funkari” and that the last song they co-wrote was a different single titled “Faraq Faraq.” According to Uppal, Aima Baig had only come to sing “Funkari,” a process that took merely three hours.

The dispute between Aima Baig and Shiraz Uppal has attracted attention from fans and the music industry alike. While the social media jibe from Aima Baig provided a momentary response, the controversy surrounding the song’s credits continues to be a topic of discussion.
