Authorities Want A Ban on PUBG

The rising number of suicides among the teens due to PUBG has led Lahore police to request Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP) to put an immediate ban on it.

“PUBG is an online multiplayer game that has gained immense popularity among young people. The game should be banned immediately as it is leading to aggressive behaviour and suicides among teenagers,” states the letter written by Lahore police.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) had also directed the concerned authorities to ban the game following its negative impacts on the children.

On May 18, the directives had been issued by a division bench of the LHC headed by Justice Atir Mahmood following a petition that says that PUBG’s gameplay is severely affecting the educational and psychological progress of the children.
