Bollywood Filmmaker Karan Johar Spotted Enjoying ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ [Images]

The Indian director was amongst the attendees at a Dubai screening of Bilal Lashari’s blockbuster film.

Karan Johar was spotted watching The Legend of Maula Jatt at a screening in Dubai, UAE. The Indian award-winning director’s pictures of him smiling during the screening went viral all over social media. The Bollywood personality has not yet commented about his experience.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director quietly attended a public screening of the Pakistani Punjabi epic in Dubai. One of the audience member took a couple of pictures, including one that showed Karan, sitting in the front seat, enjoying the highly popular Pakistani film.

In another picture, the Koffee with Karan host is seen leaving the cinema hall during the ending credits with writer Nasir Adeeb’s name in the background.

The Indian filmmaker is known for work in hit films like Kuch Kuch Hota HaiKabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Student of the Year to name a few. The Indian filmmaker has also worked with The Legend of Maula Jatt star Fawad Khan in his 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Many fans believe the two are close friends.

Maula Jatt Continues to Make Headlines

The Legend of Maula Jatt is on an incredible run worldwide. From its record-breaking run at the Pakistani box office despite limited screening to dominating recently released Bollywood films like Ram Setu and Thank God at the global market, Bilal Lashari and Ammara Hikmat’s magnum opus is setting new benchmarks for the Pakistani film industry.

Written by Bilal Lashari, with dialogues by Nasir Adeeb, The Legend of Maula Jatt features a star-studded cast, including Fawad Khan as the titular hero, Hamza Ali Abbasi as Noori Natt’, and Mahira Khan as Mukkho Jatti. The supporting cast includes Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, Ali Azmat, Shafqat Cheema, and Nayyer Ejaz. The film was released worldwide on 13 October.
