‘Chhalawa’ and ‘Wrong No 2’ Do Roaring Business on Eid 2019

Pakistani films dominating the local box office.

Two Lollywood films Wrong No 2 and Chhalawa hit theatres this Eid. According to reports, both of these films have cumulatively managed to earn approximately Rs 200 million during the first five days of their release.

The team behind these films have been overwhelmed by this response as they were not expecting a turnout like this, especially in light of the ban on Indian content when local cinemas are struggling.

Chhalawa Earnings

Azfar Rehman, who is playing the lead role of Sameer in Chhalawa disclosed that the film has earned Rs 11.18 crores so far.

Alhamdulillah Chhalawa becomes the highest opener this year and the leading film on Eid ul Fitr. The journey is still on. Need prayers and thank you Pakistan and supporters from all over the world. We get your messages ever ready and read every single of them. Allah has been very kind to us. #ThankyouPakistan ❤ #🙏🏻🇵🇰

Mehwish Hayat Criticizes Modi for Not Inviting Imran Khan

In a recent video message that was shared on Instagram, both Azfar Rehman and Mehwish Hayat thanked every one for their love and support and this is what they had to say:

Wrong No 2 Earnings

As per insiders, Wrong No 2 has been leading the Eid box office haul, collecting about Rs 110 million so far, though the exact figures for the Neelam Munir-starer could not be independently verified.

CEO of Distribution Club Mr.Sheikh Amjad Rasheed claimed that his movie is doing very well and is likely to earn even more in the next few days. He is very satisfied with how the film has performed on the box office.

Both Wrong No 2 and Chhalawa’s success has demonstrated that people are hungry for Pakistani films now more than ever. But the question is, will this trend hold for the months ahead, especially with a Bollywood ban in place? Only time will tell.
