Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has lashed out Salman Khan following his comments regarding serious mental illness and depression.
What Had Salman Khan Said?
Salman Khan’s controversial comments regarding depression date back to February 2018, when the actor was speaking at the TiE Global Summit.
“I see a lot of people getting depressed and emotional but I can’t afford that luxury of being depressed or sad or emotional because no matter what I am going through, it works against me,” Salman Khan had said.

Deepika Padukone Responds
During her recent interview with Vogue magazine the Bollywood actress, without naming anyone, took a jibe at Sallu Bhai. Deepika Said that no one chooses to depressed.
“A male star said recently that he didn’t have the luxury to be depressed. As if depression is a choice!”
Furthermore, Deepika Padukone termed her experience with depression as a struggle.
“The word that best describes my experience of depression is struggle. Every second was a struggle. I felt exhausted the whole time,” the actress said.

Her struggle with depression
Deepika Padukone has talked about her hard-fought battle with depression quite a few times. The actress confessed to having gone through severe depression back in 2015 during an interview with a media outlet.
“I woke up one morning just feeling empty you know like this pitt-ish feeling in my stomach that I was telling them that I get this pittish feeling in my stomach. I woke up like feeling directionless, I didn’t know where to go, I didn’t know what to do and I had these bouts of feeling so low that I would just start crying at the drop of the hat,” the Padmaavat actress had said.
