The first wife of the late Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Dr. Syeda Bushra Iqbal shared some heartfelt revelations about her former husband, shedding light on his final wishes, challenges faced in life, and the impact of his passing.
In a recent guest appearance on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast, Bushra disclosed that it was Aamir Liaquat’s final wish that a post-mortem examination should not be conducted after his demise.
This is the reason she remained steadfast in ensuring his wish was respected, despite calls for a post-mortem autopsy following his mysterious passing. Liaquat’s family prevented the post-mortem, honoring his wishes.
Aside from these deeply personal insights, Bushra provided listeners with a glimpse into the life of the renowned television personality before and after his passing. She candidly addressed matters of honor, family, and the challenges faced by both men and women in society.
Discussing the leaked videos that tarnished Aamir Liaquat’s reputation and led to his struggle with depression, Bushra emphasized that honor is not limited to one gender. She expressed her disappointment that people did not speak out against the invasion of his privacy and the subsequent fallout.
Everyone had their fun. YouTubers, members, everyone…People should think, ‘What if this happened to me?’ The best of people end up killing themselves. Who [ends up killing themselves]? Those who have no shame or honor.
She also addressed the emotional toll on Liaquat, particularly regarding his children. “He’d be crying wondering how he’d face his kids – it’s not easy. A person has died. People raised fingers at the kids as well…He was a very loving father. He was a very loving husband,” she revealed.
Reflecting on their separation and subsequent marriages, Bushra clarified that neither she nor Aamir Liaquat wanted to part ways. Circumstances and external pressures played a role in their paths diverging. She also discussed the complexities of his relationships with his other wives.
Throughout the podcast, Bushra spoke warmly of her late ex-husband, describing him as her “boss” and “mentor” from whom she learned extensively. Her admiration for his qualities and the bond they shared was evident throughout her candid conversation.
