Exclusive Footage of Horrifying Ordeal of People Trapped in Battagram Cable Car

The clip revealed stranded cable car passengers’ harrowing experience and various rescue efforts

A YouTuber shared exclusive footage of the stranded cable car passengers in Allai tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Battagram for hours on Tuesday.

The video showcased the desperate situation of the stranded individuals and the valiant rescue attempts made not just by the Pakistan Army, but by a few very brave locals as well.

As the rescue operation unfolded, it became evident that collective efforts were required to ensure the safety of the trapped passengers. M. Ali, the owner of Noori Valley Zipline, along with his co-worker, played a pivotal role in collaborating with the authorities to successfully complete the rescue operation in Battagram.

The heart-wrenching footage provided a close-up view of the passengers packed uncomfortably inside a tilted cable car that had been hanging precariously on the wires for an extended period. The visuals painted a vivid picture of their ordeal, emphasizing the urgent need for a successful rescue operation.

The video also sheds light on the intense rescue efforts initiated by the Pakistan Army. A helicopter was seen maneuvering around the hanging cable car, with a brave commando suspended from a rope in an attempt to reach the trapped passengers.

However, the unpredictable and strong winds thwarted the commando’s initial efforts, highlighting the challenging conditions that rescuers faced.

The situation took a remarkable turn when the locals’ daring spirit came to the forefront. In the footage, a local resident was witnessed attempting a solo rescue operation, using a makeshift platform.

His courage and determination to reach the stranded passengers single-handedly showcased the power of community unity and the lengths people are willing to go to in order to help their fellow citizens.

However, amidst various rescue attempts, a sense of discontent emerged among netizens. While many praised the Pakistan Army for its prompt response and relentless efforts, some expressed dissatisfaction with the authorities halting the local man’s independent rescue endeavor.

Criticisms were also directed towards the media, with accusations of focusing predominantly on the army’s involvement and not adequately highlighting the courageous efforts of the local residents.
