IPPA 2021 Dismisses Model Fatima Hasan Over Her ‘Revealing’ Dress

Fatima Hassan - IPPA 2021

After the Hum Style, Awards 2021 was brutally trolled and critiqued for ‘scandalous’ dressing, the International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) 2021 decided to censor model Fatima Hasan over her outfit.

The model shared how her sweetheart neckline strapless black dress was labeled promiscous and how the award show organizers told her it was ‘too revealing’ for television.

Fatima Hasan was meant to host the red carpet at the award show last night in Istanbul. So this definitely put a damper on her mood. She was told that given the ‘issue’ with her dress she might not be hosting the segment at all.

The funny thing is that the producers had already approved her dress beforehand. Meaning the ‘need to censor’ the dress only arose at the last moment.

The model then took to Instagram to share her grievances with fans. She shared the details of how she was ‘informed by the team’ about the issue with her dress.

Naturally, like anyone who’s being shamed for clothing choices, the model was clearly shaken up by this. She added how they were not informed of any guidelines or dress codes.

Fatima Hasan then had to ‘cover up’ with a sweater to make her attire ‘appropriate for TV’ according to the IPPA 2021 organizers.

Coincidentally, the neckline of Alizeh Shah’s ball gown at the HSA 2021 was the same.

Had IPPA 2021 been concerned about the public response they would have not approved the dress in the first place. Additionally, was there a ‘modest dress code’ that would apply to all those at the event, not just the host? This seems like another case of policing women and their clothing choices.

  1. We in islamic state have to follow islamic dress code. Don’t humiliate Islam with such things. Dress code for women and men is v.much obivious and clear. Had she bèen dressed like this in Nabi saww era she might have had at least 12 leashes.
