Karachi’s Pakistan Arts Council to Hold Free Pakistan Music Festival from Tomorrow

The performers will include the best of Pakistani musicians and singers, and Ukrainian singer, Kamaliya Zahoor.

The Pakistan Arts Council in Karachi is hosting the largest music festival of the year, the Pakistan Music Festival 2022, for free from 18 to 20 November.

The festival is an ode to Pakistani pop, traditional, and folk music, with performances by leading singers from across the country.

Khumariyaan, Auj, The Sketches, Wahab Bugti, and many more will perform live at the event which will begin at 6 PM.

Here is the list of the performers:

Khumariyan

Khumariyan is a Pashto music band from the Khyber Pakthunwka, that has represented its culture with its melodious tunes internationally as well.

Sanam Marvi

Sanam Marvi is a Pakistani folk and sufi singer. She sings in Sindhi, Punjabi, and Balochi.

Auj

Auj is a rock band based out of Karachi and is a winner of the Pepsi Battle of the Bands.

Akhtar Chanal Zahri

Akhtar Chanal Zahri is a famous Pakistani Balochi folk singer. He is famous for his singing in the Coke Studio season 7.

Attaullah Khan EsaKhelvi

Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi is the pride of Pakistan and has won various awards, including the Sitara-e-Imtiaz and the Pride of Performance awards. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the highest number of recorded albums by a singer.

Ahsan Bari

Ahsan Bari is a composer, director, and curator who has been in the music industry for 15 years and has worked with global musicians and composers. He is the founder of a successful band that plays South Asian music with a twist.

The Sketches

The Sketches is a Sufi folk rock band from Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, created by the young musician, Saif Samejo. The Sketches’ love for its language and culture is aimed at producing quality work to familiarize the world and the youth with the grace of the Sindhi language.

Bano Rehmat

Known as ‘Koyal-e-Kashmir’, Bano Rehmat is a famous singer from Jammu and Kashmir who sings Kashmiri folk songs.

Kaifi Khalil and Wahab Bugti

The Coke Studio 14 sensations will perform live for the first time ever in Pakistan.

Arman Rahim ft. Afaq Adnan

Arman Rahim and Afaq Adnan are from the rock band ‘ACMA The Band’.

Tina Sani

Tina Sani is a Pakistani female singer who is famous for her classical and semi-classical Urdu ghazals.

Kamaliya Zahoor

Imran Momina (Emu):

Syed Muhammad Imran Momina (aka Emu) is a multi-dimensional pianist and is one of the founding members of the iconic band, Fuzon.
