The state broadcaster further explained why there’s been a delay. The delay so far has been due to trying to ensure quality voice-overs.

PTV did not want to lose the magic of the world-famous Turkish period drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul to ‘flat voice-overs’.

According to PTV, they are still trying to put together a voice-over team for the dubbing. Soon afterward they will broadcast the drama on television and digital social media platforms

Earlier, radio host Diya Rahman had shared that she is already part of the Diriliş: Ertuğrul voice cast.

When news of the project being shelved emerged, Diya Rahman was the one that revealed that dubbing for the drama was put on hold.

She suggested that perhaps the private channel whose drama serials are aired on PTV will be given the opportunity to dub the drama serial.

Even now she asserts that the drama will not be broadcast any time soon, or at all in 2020. Then again, she might not be a part of the dubbing team anymore based on PTV’s statement that they are assembling a voice cast.
