Saba Qamar Sparks Controversy With Latest Shoot [Pictures]

What’s the buzz about her bathrobe?

Saba Qamar is one boss lady that doesn’t let ‘log kya kahenge‘ affect her career choices and especially not her style choices. That’s how she ended up a target for trolls yet again over some pictures in a bathrobe.

Now if there are photoshoots in just about any other article of clothing, bathrobes are no different. Recently the Baaghi actress posed in a bathrobe for Niche Lifestyle magazine.

Of course, the magazine photoshoot wasn’t limited to those bathrobe photographs but that’s what some people chose to focus on.

Someone singled out those pictures and posed the question;

“Is this Islamic Republic of Pakistan,”

As afar as we know the use of bathrobes is not criminal in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, nor is posing for a photograph in one.

The intent of the Twitter user behind sharing the Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain host’s photographs was slut-shaming. So naturally, the trolls came out of the woodwork to pitch in.

Completely steering off-topic, this guy is trying to compare capital punishment for rapists to an actress’ photoshoot. Is that ‘victim-shaming we see stirring’ or some other justification for sexual violence?

Some people really fought fire with fire here.

As these people continue to fixate on women’s clothing here’s a few fiery photographs of Saba Qamar.

On the work front, the versatile actress is featured in Sarmad Khoosat’s next film titled ‘Kamli‘. Besides Saba Qamar addresses a range of social issues on her YouTube channel from slut-shaming to classism.Β We’re not about to see the Cheekh actress slow down anytime soon.

She hit 200K subscribers and three million views on her YouTube channel in July.

Recently the actress spoke out against Pakistani actors targeting Pakistan Television Network (PTV) for airing Turkish period drama Ertugrul Ghazi. She pointed out how some Pakistani actors won’t even consider working with PTV but complain about the state broadcaster exploring other means to keep earning.
