Dr. Shaista Lodhi recalled an awkward moment she had with Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor in Dubai.
The former Good Morning Pakistan host was embarrassed by the Indian actor’s not-so-positive comments about her appearance.
During an interview with Momin Saqib on his talk show Had Kar Di, the actress revealed she had a huge crush on the Bollywood heartthrob, who even invited her to join him at an event after the interview. However, Shaista regrettably turned his offer down.
Shaista explained that she was asked to interview Shahid Kapoor in Dubai as the host of Good Morning Pakistan. In preparation for the interview, she decided to “glam up” for the occasion, revealing that her makeup artist applied heavy makeup and opted for curls.
The morning show host went into the interview with full confidence, after everyone assured her she looked “stunning.” However, when the producers brought out t-shirts with her face on set for Shahid Kapoor to sign, the Indian actor was unable to recognize her. After Shaista hesitantly said that it was her on the t-shirt, Shahid awkwardly said, “You look different.”
Embarrassed by the moment, Shaista told Momin Saqib that she was taken aback by the Bollywood star’s negative reaction and struggled to conduct the rest of the interview.
