Bollywood fans rejoice as Indian actor Sunny Deol visits Pakistan tomorrow!

Despite the tension between Pakistan-India (and our neighbor’s not so friendly attitude) it is always a nice feeling to see some of the Bollywood legends take a trip to our humble abode.

Sunny Deol will be part of the official jatha to attend the opening of the Kartarpur corridor on November 9, 2019. India’s Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh made the public announcement for Sunny’s participation in the official tour.

He’s Not Alone

Joining Sunny will be Congress leader and Imran Khan’s bestie from across the border, Navjot Singh Sidhu. The former cricketer requested permission from the External Affairs ministry to visit the Darbar Sahib shrine following invitation from Pakistan.

Passport Confusion

Despite the hassle and confusion that surrounded the passports of the Indian pilgrims from our side, according to the Indians (we’re looking at you Modi Sarkar!), both Sunny and Sidhu, as well as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, are cleared to attend the ceremonial pilgrimage to the final resting place of the first Sikh, Guru Nanak Dev.

Annual Pilgrimage

The Kartarpur pilgrimage is an annual religious event for the Sikh community all around the world. Thousands of Sikhs visit Pakistan every year to pay their respects to Guru Nanak Dev. The Sikh community has often praised Pakistan for its hospitality and respect shown towards the visitors.
