The Absolute Worst and Best Dresses at the Hum Style Awards 2020 [Pictures]

We have a lot of fashion disasters here!

It has only been a month into 2020, and our esteemed celebrities have managed to fail us with their catastrophic sense of style at the Hum Style Awards. While quite a few of us might not have many expectations from these glamorous celebrities; once or twice a year we do like to put them under a microscope.

While there were some noteworthy head-turners at the Hum Awards, most of the divas we turn to for their style and fashion were just… meh!

So who lost and who won the day? Keep reading; all the belles are towards the end!

Before we jump into fashion, let’s take a look at the couple that charmed us with their iconic love for each other.

The world of Twitter has already gone gaga over “Sahad” in the past, and the Hum Style Awards was no different for Ahad Raza Mir and Sajal Aly fans.

With the good news out first, it’s unfortunately, time for the bad:

And the worst style award goes to…

Bland confetti, on top of confetti, on top of confetti. Looks like we need to give some fashion tips to our fashion diva, Kubra Khan.

We’d like to sum this up like… Boring Makeup + Boring (read: ugly) Dress = Disaster.

But it really wasn’t this bad last year:

Although 2019 was definitely her year, this year was a whole another story

Our Runner-up for the ‘Worst Dress’

Grandma called, and she wants her favorite curtain back, Miss Zara Noor. Although we love this jewel-toned dress, it seems ill-fitted.

Perhaps she lost weight after the fitting?

Honorary worst dress award:

The lovely Sonya Hussyn won The Most Stylish Actress award at the HSA2020. But clearly, this decision was not based on the dress she wore the night of the awards.

This was not the first time she showed up with an outdated dress. Flashback to 2018 and here’s what she went with that time:

The Pakistani Lady Gaga

Ayesha Omar is known for her out-of-the-world experimental looks. However, this year, her look felt a little incomplete. We are, however, grateful that her make-up is ON-POINT!

The Trench Coat

We usually hate imitation and lack of originality when celebs copy off looks from Bollywood, but Mansha Pasha could have taken a few notes, from Priyanka’s Met Gala Trench Coat look in 2017, for the Hum Style Awards 2020.

Isn’t that dress a bold beautiful statement

Of course, Mrs Jonas did not fare better this year at the Grammy Awards (is this a recurring theme for this year or what?)

The Yearly Disappointment

Momina Mushtehan is known to (not) turn heads for her fashion sense. She may have a beautiful voice, but we are not a fan of her red carpets.

What in the world? Okay, maybe she has improved since this 2017 look.

Even Twitter knows that the media has been over-the-top harsh over her fashion choices

“Blue thou art, intensely blue”

Although the blue hues look stunning on Mira Sethi, her skirt looks.. pencil-thin? Here’s what we do love about her look: Her well-toned body and those long pendulous earrings.

My eyes are burning at this point…

With all the oddities in her look, we love her confidence and the vibes she is throwing off.

Finally, time for some good news!

The negative criticism is finally over, and here are some styles that were pulled off phenomenally well:

Zara Abid

Zara Shahjahan

Kiran Malik

We saved the best for last…

Mahnoor Baloch

Comments

  1. Hahahaha! I laughed my way through the entire article. Hilarious!! ? I’d give all of these starts extra points for trying. ??

  2. Asalamalaikum I am not from Pakistan I was never brought up there. My entire education is based in the uk. When we watch pakistani channels we want to see nice stylish pakistani dresses, if we want to see western dresses we can go to the shops. Not impressed with these strange looking outfits that reflect nothingness. We want to see creativity in pakistani designs.
