Citizen Journalists Superlative During Long March
We have covered before how Bloggers and Tweeters geared during ongoing political situation, especially Long March in Pakistan; and how quickly and effectively they are updating masses with live updates from several available personal/referral sources.
Twitter has turned out to be a great tool for citizen journalists for updating their fellows primarily, and is used by all internet users consequently.
It merits mentioning here that these online bloggers (citizen journalists) do update news that are not even covered by main stream media.
For those who don’t know, twitter is a website where you can post messages on your page – which will be shared with your friends, friends of friends and so on.
Today Pakistani tweeters achieved a landmark, as the term LongMarch has become Twitter’s top 10 most searched item on internet.
