After Karachi, World Call EVDO service is surfacing in Lahore this week, most likely to be on Coming Monday (May 25th, 2009).
WorldCall EVDO has got the reputation; however, their prices will remain a question mark for customers. Unlike Karachi, WorldCall is going to introduce a USB-based devices – priced at Rs. 2,999. However, tariff plan may not differ. Just to recall you that EVDO devices in Karachi were sold with Price tag of Rs. 4,500, Rs. 5,000 or Rs. 6,000.
As mentioned earlier, their packages are not competitive, especially in presence their rival PTCL. However, one can expect WorldCall making the mark in their home town with strong customer support and may be with some discounts for existing customers.
By the way, WorldCall EVDO service plans are as follows:
256 Kbps = Rs. 1,200
512 Kbps = Rs. 1,800
1 MB = Rs. 2,500
USB Device: Rs. 2,999 (One Time cost – This price is only for Lahore)
Note: Downloads with all packages are unlimited.

Crap, I bought last year 256kbps device for Rs.4500. I wonder if they cannot reduce their monthly chargers,atleast they with the same price can upgrade their packages, like PTCL Broadband, It would be wonderful if what I am getting for Rs.1200 is 256 speed, it would be doubled with the same charges for 512kbps.
I think its aweful to pay 1200 for a mere 256. Its a fun killer. its ridiculous. i would rather buy ptcl broadband-on-go. works in 3 major cities and speed is 3 mbps up and 1.8 down.
When will these Sloth like investors come to Peshwar and Islamabad?

Well, worldcall gus came to my home to check out this service. I must say even though I was getting only one signal,downlaod speed touched 380 kbps. I’m definiately going to buy one when it’s going to be released.
Good show, but the service should meet the standard it is being marketed to provide. Just saw the banners on light poles outside LDN office (do I smell a marketing rivalry here? :D)

Its time to get PTCL’s EVDO @ very fantastic price offer.
3.1 MB in just 2000 Rs per month. I am using this and i get 300 Kb download that is average , some time it goes upto 350KB. I was using worldcall’s evdo but it really sucks. Low speed and high price. and still world call is not reducing its prices in the country but in lahore they have reduced some of their ammount on purchasing the new Device. i ask why in lahore??? because SALMAN TASEER lives in lahore? haha LOL :P
World call is the worst company i ever faced.

Now a days i’m using worldcall wireless for internet which have 575/month nd speed decreases day by day (3kb/ps) i recieved which is too low, i go to Worldcall head office Aibak Road near PTV Station nd met Nadeem Sahib, which is senior customer relation officer to change my package frm postpaid to prepaid on 15th May 2009, nd today is 27th May still my package was not changed, nd they say we don’t know abt the prblm………… so i advised to all don’t buy WorldCall Evdo Because they have the same issaues…. they never give cheque to customer who even return device within 15 days nd simply said we don’t know….. for more info read karachi ppl’s comments who used this before yu…..
I got the USB dongle & a 512 Kbps package yesterday and used it from more than one location (Lahore), got download speeds of more than 350 Kbps consistently. From what I have experienced it is working perfectly fine and at a reltively cheap one time cost of Rs.2,999
