BSNL(Indian operator like our PTCL) has appointed research firm, IMRB to undertake a research and identify reasons for the drop in fixedline connections witnessed in the recent few years.
A BSNL internal study highlights that the main reasons for falling landline BSNL connections are surrender of excess telephones, increased use of mobiles, unsatisfactory service, competition and economic factors
Its a very dumb thing to do by indians. Drop is fixed lines is due to some common sense advantages of mobile that a 7 year old child can tell. Kindly check your iodine level.

Dear Sir,
I have been writing to PTCL on subject matter for the last one year, but till date no response has been received.
PTCL is issuing telephone bills on average basis without meter reading and the subscriber do not know how much units he has used, but only a number of calls is shown in the bill, which is not justified.
Who is responsible in the PTCL to whom complaint should be made for showing meter reading on telephone bills????? Kindly send me month-wise meter reading statement to know how much actual calls have been made by me.
This is very severe matter and great protest to PTCL chairman and concerned responsible authorities. Who will reply and do the needful.
An early action will be much appreciated.

Thanks mr. rai. TV cable has been replaced on 06.07.2010 after 10 days hard and consistent struggle. In this connection, kindly advise the following:
1. Why too much time was taken and who is responsible for this delay of 10 days??????
2. Please clarify contradictions in your letter of 30th June, 2010 and the reference from your website.
3. Why you asked for extra payment without knowing world call policies/procedures etc. and tried to extort money from clients illegally ?????
4. Whether World call is being run on random or on your discretion basis??? What ever you write/say is the policy/regulation of Worldcall?????
5. Allow me 15% discount on annual basis since 2008 as per your policy circulated on web (quoted below) and refund back to me for excess charged.
6. An early reply/refund will be much appreciated. In future do not try to extort money from customers by making them fool through your own words & writing letters etc..
7. Should you remain on your seat in view of this correspondence and if yes then explain why????????????

Ref ur letter dated 30th June, 2010 against my complaint of 26th June, 2010, wherein u claim TV cable/wire charges it is an internal cable. But you forget that it is all ur cable installed are external and nothing is internal. See below table taken from web (Cable Modem/Set Top Box) shall remain company property. (why you ask for charges since all these are your property????????).
KESC & Telephone deptt. Replace all supply cables at their own cast to maintain supply, but world call ask for charges for supply services, whereas the client is paying monthly bill as follows: see this Cable Modem/Set Top Box) shall remain company property.
1. Monthly net bill @ Rs. 750/-
2. Quarterly CATV @ Rs. 800/- i.e. Rs. 267 per month
3. Total comes to Rs. 1,017/- which I am paying regularly. Although your service is very poor and complaints are attended after 2 to 3 days intervals.
