Mobilink and Telenor have reverted back their SMS bundles for customers. Now customers can subscribe to SMS bundles as they used to do before EID.
It may be recalled that Mobilink and Telenor had suspended SMS bundles during EID, apparently to load balance their network.
Both the companies had to face intense displeasure from customers at all public forums and call centers.
Update: Telenor SMS bundles will get activated after 2 PM Today (September 24th, 2009)

Mobilink and Telenor was thinking of great profits. As they both are running for profit. Not for pulic welfare……
pta should ask them regarding this matter. Telenor criticize ufone but they themselves cannot control their traffic during eid. Infact its just their game to earn money

Still cant subscribe to Telenors sms bundle using 555. When I select 5 to subscribe to smses it still says service not available.
Currently there are no updates on Mobilink website about SMS packages.

mobilink made huge profits by taking down their bundles early which were for two days only as it is.so by chand raat no one’s mobilink sms bundle was working and mobilink made lots of money at the public’s expense.
telenor on the other hand wasnt so smart.their service is for 7 days and they closed it late,i.e. on friday which meant that for a majority of the ppl who had subscribed b4 friday,the bundles were working on eid.so telenor took action too late and lost goodwill also amongst ppl.
but hats off to mobilink!!!!!! they really know how to make money by blackmailing their customers.

One can assume that competent people are sitting in senior management positions in these companies. Didn’t they think that it would be such a devastating loss of goodwill among their customers…???!!! I was quite happy with my Telenor connection, but now I’m thinking of defecting to Warid glow soon.
