PTCL’s Broadband Revenues 219 Times Up in Q1

PTCL has turned out to be the largest broadband service provider in the country, not only in terms of base only but the revenues too. July-Sep 2009 quarter showed 219 times more revenues for PTCL broadband as compared with the same quarter of last financial year, reported Daily Times.

The revenue earned in the broadband sector has posted triple digit growth as it stood at Rs 830 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (1QFY10). The revenue from broadband continued to grow and was twice higher than the same period last year because of increased number of subscribers.

The triple digit growth of broadband segment has contributed to 5.7 percent of the company’s overall revenue of July-Sep 2009. PTCL officials said that the company has firmed its focus on the broadband sector, which has posted significant expansion particularly since the second quarter of 2007-08 when it targeted educational sector with student discount packages.

  • Rate Kyon kum kar do? Rs. 1,199 for 1MB are very reasonable plus student package discount bhi hai. Dialup ka zamana bhol gaye kia?

  • Yaar me ne 1236 per phone ker ke Packge 1MB se 256 karwa liya hay…

256KB with 1GB Download Limit for RS 299 per month Only.

its very suitable for people like me who do not want to waste bandwidth with youtube or tube sites (lol)….

    why shud i pay 1200 instead 299………

Amzing thing is that i confirmed from helpline that my packge has been changed to 256 KB but i still have very good download speed, its above 500 KB

    PTCL Rocks.

  • i support all who are in favour of double package in current price, as if they can offer 299 rs offer in villages means they are earning lot of profit. they should belive in economical price, more customers less profit

  • I think PTCL should lower its rates from next year. There are rumors about speed being doubled sometime in march next year. :)
