PTCL will introduce a banquet of services for customers, which are already launched for corporate users, called “Life Line”.
This banquet will include security, entertainment, infotainment and DSL internet, told Naveed Saeed, SEVP Commercial, PTCL in an interview with The Nation.
We are told that PTCL is offering IP based security Camera, IPTV, DSL and other similar services in parallel to corporate customers.
We were further told by sources familiar with products that PTCL’s IP based security camera will be WiFi enabled, with charges of Rs. 6,000 per month. Customers will be able to view/monitor this camera from anywhere in the world through internet. PTCL will also record the camera feeds on a remote location, meaning that recordings will remain safe in any given situation.
In his interview with The Nation, Naveed Said further told that PTCL has renovated 50 per cent of the end to end (exchange to user) network, while completion of this project would ensure state-of-the-art quality service.
According to the SEVP, the primary network that is from the exchange to the main cabinets is already on the optic fibre lines while the secondary network onward up to the end user was still on copper wire.
As for the renovation of the secondary network, he said, that the PTCL has been opting for the latest technology called the ONU (optical network unit). He mentioned that the ONU was a stand-alone unit and it requires high power battery.

The techinical people are being expelled out of this company, they are harrassed and discouraged on one pretext or the other like the one incident whcih recently took place in the ptcl , A very sad and shame full act by SEVP Mazahar , how brutally a driver was condemned .
What the hell they are doing , Who will be working ?
At one hand the technical hand is being condemned and cut off ,
On the other hand , such a lush and flowery advistement are shown at Tv and spoken .
It is the hight of hypocracy , a double facet attitude of the top managemtn and non-sense arab management .
the revenue only comes when the work force is working properly and without any worry. And he is satisfied with the return.
Every worker must have the vehicle , petrol and finaancial power. The system of the attendence is a bigest blow to the work force.
Company full fill the requirements and logistics of the technical people , then only ask for the results.
My giving fingure and showing the cards at the enterence at ptcl every morning is no criterian of the output . It is the unfair tacktics of the the cunning , illicent people in the top sl;ot of ptcl surrounding the arabs to gain time and make the money as long as the arabs can be befowled.

it is not sensible that SEVP Mazhar , , is expelling a driver for finding his vehile stadning at Sunday bazar in islamabad .
A heap of Curse upon such vehicles which a ordinary person cannot use for himself.
If it is the desire of the Etisalat managemnt to come up with concerete development , then it must have to get rid of the cunning, celver people arround itself like Mazhar Hussain, Tahir mushtaaq etc etc which are the garbish dumped arround the arabs management,
Then the actuall work force must be liberated from all the restrictions and hounds , the work force must feel free to work, like no concept of giving fingure every morining in ptcl machines at entereance,
Vehicle with maintenaceand petrol be given to the operationa and maintenace and development staff totally free and only thier tasks be checked .
Etisalat people should directly come at grass root level where the actuall techinical work going on rather than asking every now and then from the cunning people arround them.

Let them first provide a landline on time which they promise to provide in a week but they can’t, they should forget about all this. Lazy ducks sitting in PTCL would never let this organization provide a better service.
A new days back I was shocked to know that they can’t serve on time because they are busy in their union election…..Bravoooooo
