M9 – What’s Your Plan? Zong’s Leaked TVC! [Updated]

We are told by an email from a unknown sender that Zong is going to launch a industry first offer, dubbed as M9, in coming days.

This information is based upon a leaked TVC that suggests that users can register their numbers in advance by visiting www.m9.com.pk, which is blank page as of now.

No words yet on details of the offer, however, we can confirm that www.m9.com.pk is going to be the host of the offer. Maybe a new brand, or just a package, or just a service!

It merits mentioning here that www.m9.com.pk got registered in the name of CMPak Ltd. in July 2010.

m9.com.pk got some content now, an image file that reads: “Coming Soon”

Moreover, it says:

Now get your lucky number with the opinion of our expert “Waseem Jaffry”

Update 2:

We have more details on M9 – as reports suggest, it will be a service from Zong to offer you a lucky number after consultation with Waseem Jaffry, a renowned numerologist.

Zong said that Customers will be able to book their numbers and collect their SIM Cards within 10 days from the date of booking. (Home Delivery will be catered after launch)

It is anticipated that M9 customers will be offered with special pricing for voice and data calls. Let’s wait for the official launch for more details on tariff.

        Instaphone and Paktel were AMPS. AMPS only allowed very basic features. As far I can remember, AMPS was only meant for calling and was based on analogue radio technology. It was easy to listen in. Later, it was converted into TDMA or Digital AMPS which enabled them downloads and SMS.
        
        Furthermore, Instaphone and Paktel never converted into anything. Paktel ran a separate GSM network as they phased out TDMA. Instaphone was sold to the local investor and went under Total Telecom which was later merged into Telecard. Instaphone was rumored to be the first CDMA2000 operator. That never happened.

I used zong ye waqai cheap infact cheapest hay pathetic network yar wo network he kia jiski call attend karnay k liay chatt pe jana paray, call rates of zong arnt attractive enough han internet packages are the best but again you cant take ur pc to roof top

How the hell can they fool so many people by calling it numerology?? This is nothing but a re-branding of their Book Your Number scheme, but this time they themselves get to choose the number.

This numerology, astrology, palmistry, horoscopes etc.. bullshit is not only pseudoscientific and illogical, but also strictly against the teachings of Quran and Ahadees! These are the sort of things from the pre-Islamic Jahiliya Age. Even though the law of this “Islamic Republic” will not stop this, we ourselves should stop being fools and avoid using this service to choose our cellphone numbers, eventually Zong will have to stop this campaign due to lack of response.

Well guys i have some strong reason to say that m9 is a youth brand .coz china mobile in china offering youth brand as M-ZONE.and another thing that zong havent launch his youth brand so this is his youth brand……………..

No Zong is not a farigh company. It set a trend for cheap 2GB volume based GPRS/EDGE packages, 2.5 years ago. GPRS was something ‘special’ for an average user of Pakistan, costing Rs.17-18/MB.

It was then, that the other operators launched their GPRS packages, first to follow was Ufone & then the credit-draining-cum-always-expensive operators, such as Telenor, Warid and Mobilink.
