Zong has further decreased the price for its Huawei Manufactured IDEOS handset. Zong Android Phone is now available for just Rs. 6,999 which was first priced at Rs. 15,999 and then was later offered at Rs. 10,999.
Priced at mere Rs. 6,999 Zong IDEOS is powered by Froyo Android operating system. Featured with built-in GPS, IDEOS boasts a proficient TouchScreen with an Ambient Light sensor to keep the screen legible at all times.

In symbian we can minimize applications. Plz tell me in andriod can the apps be minimized, means can I open more than one app at a time???

It is networked locked, you can run only ZONG SIM. However you can download DC-UNLOCKER and get it unlocked. This software require 10 credit (each is 1 euro) to unlock Huawei U8150 (this set) so essentially for an unlocked phone you will be paying additional Rs. 1181 with grand total of Rs. 8180. I have not done this as I am unable to find set at any zong sales center, this is based entirely on my research. Please do it at your own risk.
I was able to find somebody in Blue Area Islamabad who unlocked it for roughly 700 rs.
it can be unlocked from singapore plaza in only 500 rs.

Assalam-O-Alaikum. This was the first Android handset which I bought for 11000. I can’t say that in words that how good this handset is! It is the best ever handset I have ever used. It’s screen color display is better than Samsung Galaxy Young. I was about to buy Samsung Galaxy Young now but When I listened that the price has decreased then I finally decided to take this one because the previous one was snatched. IDEOS got 3.2 MP Camera and Galaxy Y got 2 MP. It is almost 600 MHz and Galaxy Young is 832 MHz. Samsung Galaxy Young is only faster than it but now you are getting IDEOS in 7000 only. Its price is the half of Galaxy Y price which is 14000. IDEOS is the best Android handset, available in the Android market. Must Buy

i m using this set for the last 7 months, it is very good. i hv checked many ROMS but i found that Dronix 0.5.4 is best ROM. this ROM has multitouch but only 2 fingers, pinch to zoom works perfect. moreover process speed can be overclocked to 748 MHz. just install Dronix 0.5.4 then u ll get all these features.
people at XDA forum have released a gingerbread 2.3 based ROM, even ICS ROM is in progress. in 6999 Rs. this phone is best phone, better than Nokia’s and Samsung’s phones which are double in price.

Tho bhai app isa open market sa lay lo,, in open market its for 16k in blue area,, and there is not a single difference except that open market wala pa ufone ya zong ka label nahi hoga,, this is the last stock of zong which is out dated , they will introduce new sets instead of these,,and plans are underway to offer sale on other old models,,shortly in 2-3 months those will also be on sale,, ufone ka b yahi iraday hain,, afterall its competition.,,,cut throat

I haven’t found any free way. DC Unlocker is the tool for that but you must by an account to unlock with it. must spend some money :(

It is really great set at this cost. i am facing an issue in skype calling, voice call always legging in it.can anybody tell me what the problem. i am using Skype call from my 1 MB PTCl DSL connection.it is good enough if i make skype calls and video calls from my PC.

Do anyone know how to root the Ideso and will it finish its warenty or not?
yes, rooting the phone would void warranty. u can use z4root (version 1.3) install it on phone and run that app, that’s it. moreove, this app gives u unroot option too. so I guess, untill u don’t change phone recovery the warranty won’t be void, becoz u ca. unroot the phone.

Kia kisi nay IDEOS ko fully overclock ker k is per Angry Birds chalaya hai? If yes, Kesa chalta hai?
It works fine, there are many videos on youtube of u8150 running angry birds with good performance.
rooh ur phone install “no frilss cpu control” app, run this app and overclock upto 691Mhz, u r ready to play.
