Microsoft Opens CIE to Cap Pakistan’s potential

Sayed Hashish, General Manager, Microsoft North Africa, East Mediterranean and PakistanMicrosoft has aggressive plans for tapping the business potential in Pakistan with its important geo strategic location, growing population and extraordinary number of students.

This was said by Sayed Hashish, General Manager, Microsoft North Africa, East Mediterranean and Pakistan at the launch of Customer Immersion Experience (CIE) lab on Wednesday.

He said the Microsoft has designed a CIE with the investment of nearly one million dollar for facilitating emerging number of IT companies, small entrepreneurs and students of different fields.

The CIE will provide them hand-on experience to test drive Microsoft products for choosing best suited solutions for their business model, which will enhance the working performance of their commercial activities but it will also save the cost of their operations substantially.

He said that the CIE will enable business leaders to understand and adopt the key technologies for growth of their business with innovation and intelligence strategies.

Microsoft Pakistan has more than 7,000 registered partners who are well connected with thousands of customers and hundred of companies in Pakistan. This CIE set up will provide them opportunity to have real time experience of advance technologies beside this platform will be opened for students as well.

Mr. Hasish added that Microsoft Pakistan is working aggressively in different particularly education, healthcare, banks, and telecom sectors.

Microsoft feels Pakistan has great potential in education sector as 1.2 million people are acquiring higher education in different disciplines, therefore, the company will be starting its different activities in 73 multiple universities of the country.

CIE Labs has been established in the Karachi for its importance as an economic hub where scores of multinational, private and public limited companies are functioning throughout the country.

He said the Microsoft is also looking for setting up numbers of CIE Labs particularly in Islamabad and Lahore in future keeping in view the demand and potential of businesses.

Microsoft is strengthening the Ecosystem to enable customers for using its products and tools with strong team of 7,000 partners through out the country, he said and added that Microsoft believe itself as No. 1 IT company in Pakistan with a strong commitment to have positive impact of the citizens in the country particularly in the difficult times through aid of 1.3 million to floods affected masses.
