  • WCall doesn’t have the capacity nor the will to bid for 3G. They’re just trying to cover for the shame that has been done to them.

  • did police raid worldcall because they were running grey traffic? There is no way that worldcall can get a 3G license. It is a $500 million license and worldcall doesn’t have that much capital and resources.

    • They don’t even have the money to pay salaries of their employees. $500 million ? They probably just have $500.

  • World call Telecom was one of the initial companies that took initiative of multi dimensional expansion in Pakistan in mid of 90’s. This company was as a result of merger of four companies which included cable, pay phone, LDI and WLL. In year 2008 this company was sold to Omantel by the local management. Omantel kept the existing operational management in the company in order to keep it operations. Baber Ali Syed hired most of his friends who left earlier World call. He made many off the book contracts in order to siphon money from World call by giving contracts to his friends. This was at various times reported by various persons who used to world call. This was coming cause Baber Ali Syed can only speak and he has no prior experience of management when he was hired by Omantel. Since the earlier CEO Salman Taseer was the governor so Omantel wanted him to resign and Baber Ali Syed was made the CEO. Baber is good at presentation but basically he lacks the management skills. He has never worked for such a position to lead a company. Additionally he is fully biased towards his own friends. He had his counter part named Sohail Qadir who he worked to post in Omantel in Oman, so that he can know the in and out of Omantel move. World call will never be able to grow further cause of this failed leadership of World call by Baber ali Syed and his affiliates. This is the result of their very self owned reasons that he did not cared about the company except his self own interest. This is the fate of certain Pakistani community that good organizations fail due to bad leader ship. Baber Ali Syed is one of them. The share price has gone down and at the end Suppliers came knocking the door and broke it……. [By Pakistan Consumer Protection..
