Microsoft Azure Summit Concludes in Karachi

Microsoft Pakistan conducted an insightful summit for introducing its Cloud Computing Platform – Azure, for businesses in Karachi. It was an interactive gathering of Microsoft customers, who shared their operational challenges and experiences, while gaining valuable information about the diverse uses of Azure, to help them achieve complex business objectives.

Azure is a growing collection of integrated computing services for storage, data, networking and an application that helps the businesses move faster, do more, and save money. This innovative cloud platform is; Hybrid-ready, open, flexible, always up, always on, economical, scalable and available everywhere. More than 57% of the Fortune 500 companies around the world have already moved on Azure.

Stephane Consalvi – the Cloud and Enterprises Business Lead at Microsoft NEPA (North Africa, East Med & Pakistan), was the key presenter addressing the summit in Karachi. He stated that; “Azure is the only major cloud platform, ranked by Gartner as an industry leader for both “infrastructure-as-a-service” (IaaS) and “platform-as-a-service” (PaaS). This powerful combination of managed and unmanaged services makes it easier to build, deploy, and manage applications that span both on-premises and the cloud, any way you like, for unmatched enablement of a fully Hybrid model. Mr. Consalvi also shared some key facts and reasons that have inspired a majority of Fortune 500 companies to opt for Azure.

Reflecting Microsoft’s new strategy – “Cloud first – Mobile first”, Azure is now helping businesses around the world, to become more fluid, resilient and cost-effective, by re-imagining their structure and form to excel and grow in the digital age.
