Warid today announced the launch of its LTE services in Hyderabad. With this, Warid’s LTE footprint has spread to Pakistan’s 13 major cities.
In addition to this, Warid is offering free SIM replacements to all customers in Hyderabad with LTE compatible handsets. All new Warid LTE customers and existing customers who switch to LTE will also being given a free LTE trial for 5 days with a massive 1 GB of high-speed internet allowance.

In Pakistan there is no need of 4G right now. 3G is more than enough for 99% internet savvy population of Pakistan. In absolute short-term (1-2 yr span) everyone will believe that zong has made mistake as Warid has only 4G license and every budget planning goes for expanding
one network. Whereas Zone has to look after 3G+4G at a same time. But ultimately Zong will come as a winner in long term (3-5 yrs)

Dear Saleem, stop spreading rumors please. Unless shikarpur is a Major city (which as far as i know) it isn’t, Warid won’t be going near this city anytime soon. AS per PTA guidelines they don’t have to expand to district HQs until two years from now.

It started on 1 june speeds not goin above 12mbps and coverage area is also not good. Zong 3g beats warid in coverage and speed.
I got 20mbps just in 1 area rest was not LTE.
Warid 4g LTE speed really is going down now… i am also now starting to feel the extent of the problem… 3 mbps at peak hours… and 12-15 mbps during regular hours at full signal. The performance really is dying… but i do expect warid to improve the infrastructure AND reduce the prices for LTE soon.(hopefully)
This is where the lack of spectrum is hurting Warid. I suppose, Warid can only retain customers if there is another auction in the future and it takes part in it.
warid has no cash in hand….it will remain as it is now
Spectrum is no issue for Warid.Warid can overcome this issue by installing more BTS(Cells) in areas where subscriber load is more.
