Whether it’s data analysis or data journalism, a good data set is essential in finding out information and telling a compelling story in the information age.
You might think that Pakistan is a data poor country but that’s certainly not the case. There are a surprisingly high number of government agencies and private organizations working to release free data sets for anyone to use.
So without further ado, here is a list of data sets available in Pakistan. Remember, you don’t need to be a pro with R or other tools to use these. Even Excel proficiency will do!

Useful! (Y)
i like it but being an electrical engineering student i think you have missed the energy section (i.e. monthly or annual based generation and demand report moreover the allocation and dispatch of various units including new projects with China)
First thing one should do is to apply the Benford Law on them!
https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/pk.html is also a good source.
Brilliant collection. There is also a repository for developers at https://github.com/pkgeography and a 1998 census data portal at http://pkgeography.github.io/pk-census/
i was searching just a few months back and was disappointed. Thanks alot
I need a database of pakistan land including soil fertility, growing crops at a certain place and per acre Growth. My idea is as under : –
It will tell you the growth rate, soil Composition, Favourable/Available fertilizers,
and on the basis of the selected crop that you want to cultivate this
app will give you all the required information about the fertilizers, pestecides, irrigational ways etc for the specific Area.
that you need to grow the selected crop.
Any help would be appreciated.

Where can I find database of all terrorists in Pakistan. I need the data in two buckets…Good Terrorists and Bad terrorists. And I need their phone records. My idea is this…Based on number of calls made by Terrorists to ISI head I can tell how good is this terrorist on a scale of 1 to 10. Based on the desperate calls being made or attempted by ISI head to the terrorist…I can tell how bad is a terrorist on a scale of 1 to 10.
I was to sell the data to all governments in the world and make millions.
Could data exerts on this forum critique my idea?
