PlanX is all set to launch 2016’s first Demo Day during the last week of March. The target and interested audience, as always, would be upcoming startups, young entrepreneurs, students, innovators, investors, and top brass business people.
Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is behind PlanX. The project has made a name for itself in the startup and entrepreneurship market. PlanX assists tech startups and assists in boosting their reach. The tech accelerator utilises a vast network of founders, mentors and investors to assist upcoming startups. It has already helped quite a few startups in extending reaching to the local market.
Demo Day is a platform for local Pakistani startups to showcase what they have to offer, what they have achieved and their future plans on expanding their business. They get a forum to display their talent and detail their products and services. It’s a great place for young and upcoming business people to interact with the some of the industry’s big names. Investors, mentors and potential clients, all of them gather at the Demo Day.
Any startup, engineer or designer looking to launch their product, gauging market demand, aiming to reach new customers or seeking guidance from successful startups should definitely register for Demo Day. Over 1000 guests from the industry will be present at the event. Featuring idea-stage startups, mid-stage startups and established companies, more than 100 startups have already registered to showcase their products and services at the event.
The 3rd PlanX Demo Day will take place on March 24th, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM at the Arfa IT Park in Lahore.
The event agenda includes networking followed by speaker sessions and a startup expo. Speakers include, Chairman PITB Dr Umar Saif, Director PITB Nabeel Qadeer and prominent figures in the startup arena like Ali Mukhtar, Hussein Kanji, Umair Jaliawala, Hafsa Shorish and Khurram Jamali. A panel discussion featuring experts from the industry will also be organised to provide attendees with the insights of the tech space.
Registering for PlanX Demo Day
Startups can register for the event by filling the application form available here. Each startup will be provided with a table and two chairs in a total space of 20 sq. ft (4ft x 5ft). The last date for applications is 17th March 2016. Visitors can fill the form available here. There are no charges or fees for registrations or participation. Students can also come to the Demo Day and display their products or ideas for free.
