Alcatel Launches its Feature, Smartphones in Pakistan

Alcatel, a multinational mobile phone brand owned by TCL Corporation, has finally launched its much awaited smart and feature phones in Pakistan.

The company plans to make smartphones, feature phones, tablets and broadband devices available for Pakistani consumers.

A press briefing and dealers meet was held this weekend in Lahore to announce the availability of Alcatel devices in Pakistan in partnership with i2, a local distributor.

Mr. Farhan Khan, Country Manager Alcatel Pakistan took the stage and briefed the media regarding the products and services offered by Alcatel.

Alcatel’s General Manager for Middle East, Pakistan and Egypt Mr. Nauman Durrani shared the information about global presence of brand. He claimed that Alcatel is the 5th largest mobile phone brand in the world and it’s doing far better than other Chinese brands in European markets.

Mr. Durrani said that Alcatel operates with 23 R&D facilities and 21 factories across the globe.

He said that Alcatel sees Pakistan as a high growth market. “With 3G and 4G penetration our aim would be to connect Pakistani’s with the best in class innovative mobile devices at affordable prices”, said Nouman Durrani.

While replying to a media question, Nouman said that Alcatel is confident to beat the competition within a year or two and become Pakistan’s no. 1 brand.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Waqas Nasir, Head of Marketing i2 Pakistan, stated “Alcatel as a brand resonates deeply with consumers since its inception in France in 1872 and its long history in the telecommunications industry. We are pleased to officially introduce to our customers their latest innovative smartphones and feature phones with affordable pricing options.”

He further stated “For the last 28 years we have been serving our customers in the Middle East and Pakistan with the best services available globally. Customer satisfaction and facilitation is our top priority and this partnership has been established with the aim of improving customer services.”

The event concluded with a musical night arranged for more than 400 mobile dealers in Punjab region.
