Pakistan International Trade Fair to Be Held in Karachi

After a gap of 25 years, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) will organize an international-level trade fair in the country in an attempt to boost exports and economic growth.

The Pakistan International Trade Fair (PITF) will be held on October 26 till 29. The 4 day event will be held in Expo Center Karachi.

This was announced in a media briefing held at the FPCCI head office. President FPCCI Zubair Tufail, former President FPCCI S M Munir, and member of exhibition committee Hariz Mathani informed the media about the event.

PITF will be held at the Expo Center Karachi from October 26 till 29. For this purpose, Hall 1 to 6 in the Expo Center have been booked to display industrial products and services.

Hall No. 1 has been dedicated for the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry. Hall No. 2 has been dedicated for Gwadar and CPEC related stalls, whereas Hall No. 3 will be dedicated for the Construction Industry. In Hall No. 4 products from the textile industry will be displayed while Hall No. 5 and 6 have been booked for Chinese and foreign companies respectively.

Mr. Haris Mathani told the media that almost 60 percent of the exhibition space has already being booked by companies. During PITF, the first 2 days will be limited to the corporate sector only. The general public will be allowed in during the next 2 days for the exhibition.

On October 26 and 27, only individuals who hold corporate passes will gain entry. During these days business to business (B2B) meetings will be organized.

FPCCI will contact all the consulates and request them to send their delegations. About 20 countries have already agreed in principle to participate in the PITF.
