Government Employees Will Receive Salaries Before Upcoming Eid

Pakistan’s government has finally taken a decision which would certainly be appreciated by government employees. The federal government has decided to transfer salaries to employees on 28th August, before the Eid-Ul-Azha.

The advance salary will surely help out the employees and their families prior to the Eid.

A local media news outlet reported that Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) has asked the concerned authorities to release the salaries on 28th August and the banks have been requested to make the money transfer to accounts on the same date.

The Punjab and Sindh Finance boards have taken similar measures to facilitate their employees.

Government employees will be able to perform their sacrificial duties with ease due to timely availability of funds. Eid-ul-Azha or the Festival of Sacrifice celebrates the end of the Haj pilgrimage to Makkah and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (A.S.) readiness to sacrifice his son to show obedience to God.

This is not the first time that the government has taken such a step. Its an age old tradition in Pakistan that employees are given advanced salaries and even bonuses prior to the Eid. The government of Pakistan is trend setter in this regard but employee-friendly private institutions also follow the same routine prior to Eid and Ramzan.
