Cook Like a Pro: These Drool Worthy Peanut Butter Snacks Take Minutes to Prepare

You know the feeling.

The sight of a McFlurry Oreo is enough to leave the best of us in a tizzy. Beauty queens forget diets, fitness coaches stop mid-sentence and nutritionists fling their programs at the wall. Everyone dials McDonald’s, drops in at the nearest franchise or grabs the ice-cream from a Drive Thru with wallet in hand.

Nutella is worse. But the morning after indulgence is the most hellish nightmare of all. Pilates class is more strenuous than usual, runners go an extra mile and cyclists pedal for their very lives. But nobody can rid themselves of the guilt and will live in constant dread …  until they see another sweet treat.

But There Is Hope

Fortunately, there exists a healthier alternative to sugar cravings, and it is much more delicious. It’s not heavy on the pocket either: all you need is a jar of peanut butter and a few minutes to spare.

We present to you two amazing Peanut butter recipes. Added bonus: good for watching your weight!

Warning: do not proceed if you have peanut butter allergies.

Peanut Butter and Banana

This indulgence is ancient, or at least dates as far back as peanut butter was invented. Peanut butter and banana is great on bread, but you can skip the carbohydrates for an absolutely guilt-free dessert.

Procedure: Mash the banana and mix in half a tablespoon of peanut butter.

It’s only 130 calories at most, and far better than the sugar and oil that is called Nutella.

Peanut Butter and Apple

Red apples and peanut butter taste like a tale of love in the Sultan’s menagerie: ripe apples and Turkish desserts.

Procedure: Cut an apple in half and scoop out the core. Fill in the hollow part of the apple with peanut butter and enjoy.

So there you have it. The next time you wanna grab that big McFlurry or Coke, well these recipes are even better. And banish those cravings of yours to kingdom come.
