Vivo Y71 is an entry-level smartphone for the low-budget segment and bringing a bezel-less display coupled with a trendy design for cheap.
It has just been announced and will soon start shipping to retailers. For an attractive price, you get an 18:9 ratio display, 3 GB RAM, a 13 MP camera, and much more.

Vivo Y71’s main highlight is its 5.99-inch bezel-less display which also features an 18:9 aspect ratio. The IPS LCD display panel has a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels (HD+) and approximately 269 ppi pixel density.
As for the design, it has curved corners on an aluminum body – the rear is metal and you get a glass finish on the front. However, no word on exact dimensions and weight for now. Unfortunately, there’s no fingerprint sensor.
Hardware & Storage
An entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 runs underneath paired with 3 GB RAM. The octa-core processor is clocked at 1.8 GHz and works in tandem with Adreno 506 GPU. There’s no other RAM option and it only ships with 3 GB RAM.
It comes with either 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage, which is expandable via microSD by up to 256 GB.
Camera & Software
Vivo Y71 comes with a single primary camera of 13 MP resolution with autofocus and LED-flash. The selfie camera is 5 MP which can also be used for facial recognition. It can shoot videos at up to 1080p at 30 FPS.

Out of the box, you get the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s proprietary layer of Funtouch OS on top.
Battery, Price, & Availability
Besides the huge display, another good feature is its 3,360 mAh battery which is decent enough to provide good battery timing on a low-power Snapdragon 450 chipset and a moderate HD+ display. No word on fast charging and the battery is chargeable via microUSB 2.0.
It has only been announced for the Indian market for now, but expect it to launch in Pakistan soon. Color options are Black and Gold and the Vivo Y71 has a decent price tag of INR 10,990 (~PKR 19,500).
