There is no denying that Pakistan Super League (PSL) is slowly but surely becoming the best domestic league in the world. Each year, the number of superstars in the league keep on increasing as the league continues to churn out good games with a decent competition between the bat and ball.
In the latest development, reports have confirmed that former South African skipper, AB de Villiers, has agreed to be a part of PSL’s 4th edition.
The arrival of the modern legend was already hinted twice by PSL’s management on their Twitter account and a number of fans had already anticipated his possible signing.
The source confirmed and said:
He is coming! As we speak, he is available for around three weeks, you can say around 7 matches.
There is no doubt that AB’s arrival will help increase the hype of the PSL as fans around the world adore him.
It is anticipated that AB de Villiers will replace Brendon McCullum as skipper of Lahore Qalandars, the franchise eliminated in the first round of all three installments.
Possible Signing of Australian Duo?
Former Australian captain and vice-captain — Steve Smith and David Warner — are both fighting to better their reputation following ball-tampering incident against South Africa earlier this year.
Due to this very reason, the duo has been very keen on participating in PSL. Introduction of both these players alongside AB de Villiers is surely going to enhance PSL’s reputation as one of the very elite competitions.
The franchises are yet to receive the final list of available players from PSL secretariat to make their retainment for the next edition of the competition. The process is likely to be completed by the end of this month, according to sources.
The draft for PSL’s 4th edition is likely to be held in mid-October.
