PUBG is Free for a Limited Time on Xbox One

The pioneer of the battle royale genre, PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds or PUBG for short, is now available for free on Xbox One for a limited time.

The game is widely known for kickstarting the battle royale genre and was eventually eclipsed by the success of its free-to-play and more famous counterpart Fortnite.

Being a paid title was partly to blame for limiting its growth, but nevertheless, it remains one of the most popular battle royale games in the world.

PUBG is now available for free, at least for Xbox One on Microsoft Store, as the company aims to increase its popularity and player base.

It’s worth mentioning here that PUBG is one of the few games that have been enhanced for the Xbox One X, which means you’ll be able to enjoy a truly 4K experience if you own one. Even if you don’t have a 4K display, you’ll be able to play the game at more than 30 fps on a Full HD screen.

Also, like all online multiplayer games, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play PUBG with your friends.
