Despite failing to make a significant mark in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) thus far, Lahore Qalandars has remained true to its ultimate goal – play an active role in contributing towards improving cricket in Pakistan.
Lahore Qalandars is renowned for its Player Development Programme (PDP) where members of the organization travel to various parts of the country and unearth remarkable talents such as: Yasir Jan, an ambidextrous quick who can bowl fast with both arms.
This development program has earned Lahore Qalandars a lot of respect and the latest to notice it is the new signing, AB de Villiers. The former South African skipper has praised Lahore Qalandars for its efforts and labeled the franchise as an ‘impressive organization’.
AB de Villiers recorded a video message in which he also said that he is delighted to be a part of PSL’s latest edition. He extended his gratitude towards the franchise’s management for selecting him.
I’m very happy to be a part of Lahore Qalandars for next season of HBL PSL. I want to thank the management for signing me and I am excited to play my part.
Known as Mr. 360, AB de Villiers’ signing has been well received by the Pakistani fans. His ability to score runs quickly has earned him records of being the fastest batsman to reach 50, 100 and 150 in one-day internationals.
The franchise also signed Mohammad Hafeez, which will further improve its batting line-up for the upcoming edition of PSL.
