Government Reshuffles 95 Officials at FBR

PTI government Wednesday night made major reshuffling in the tax collecting agency i.e. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) by transferring 95 customs and Inland Revenue officials with immediate effect.

This is the major reshuffling in the FBR since assumption of charge by Finance Minister Asad Umer.

The transfers and postings have been done across the country by changing almost all important positions, including Collectors of Customs and Director Generals of Customs and Inland Revenue.

Below are some details of the transfers:

• The FBR transferred and posted nine officials of Pakistan Customs Service (BS-20-21).
• The FBR has transferred and posted three officials of Inland Revenue Service (BS-20-21).
• The FBR has given new assignments to 26 officials of Inland Revenue Service (BS-19-20).
• The FBR has transferred and posted 57 officials of Inland Revenue Service (BS-16-19).

On December 3, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) appointed Dr Hamid Ateeq Sarwar (IRS/BS-20) Member (FATE) FBR as new Member Inland Revenue Policy.

Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar would replace Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, a BS-21 Officer of Inland Revenue Service who has been transferred and posted as Senior Joint Secretary, Industries & Production.

Seema Shakil (IRS/BS-21) has been transferred from Director General (Special Initiative), FBR HQ., Islamabad and posted as Member (IR-Operations) FBR HQs., Islamabad.

Fazal Yazdani Khan,a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Customs Service has assumed the charge of the post of Member (Legal & Accounting Customs), FBR (Hqrs), Islamabad.

On January 2, Transfers/Postings of the following officers of Pakistan Customs Service (BS-20-21) are made with immediate effect and until further orders :-

Abdul Rashid Sheikh (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21), has been transferred and posted Chief Collector of Customs (Appraisement-South), Karachi to Director General, Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit, Islamabad. He will also look after the charge of Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Customs), Islamabad in addition to his own duties; Ms. Suraiya Ahmed Butt (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) from Director General, Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi to Chief Collector of Customs (Appraisement-South), Karachi; Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) from Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Customs), Islamabad (stationed at Lahore) to Director General, Directorate General of Transit Trade, Karachi; Wasif Ali Memon (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-21) from Chief Collector of Customs (North), Islamabad to Chief Collector of Customs (Enforcement), Karachi; Dr. Arslan Subuctageen (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-20) from Director, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation, FBR, Peshawar to Director General (OPS), Directorate General of IPR (Enforcement), Islamabad. He will also look after the charge of Director General (OPS), Directorate General of CPEC, Islamabad in addition to his own duties; Mukarram Jah Ansari (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-20) from Director General, (OPS) Directorate General of Reforms & Automation (Customs), Islamabad to Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Karachi; Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-20) from Director, Directorate of Post Clearance Audit, Lahore to Chief Collector of Customs (OPS) (North), Islamabad. He will also look after the charge of Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Reforms & Automation (Customs), Islamabad in addition to his own duties; Abdul Basit Chaudhry (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-20) from Chief, Federal Board of Revenue (Hq), Islamabad to Director General (OPS), Directorate General of Input Output Co-efficient Organization, Karachi and Dr. Zulfikar Ali Chaudhary (Pakistan Customs Service/BS-20), has been transferred and posted as Collector, Model Customs Collectorate, Islamabad to Chief Collector of Customs (OPS) (Enforcement), Quetta. (The officer will draw his salary against the vacant post of Director General, Directorate General of Internal Audit (Customs), Islamabad).
