Why is Shahid Afridi Dressing Like a Doctor, Taxi Driver & Etc in Dubai?

Shahid Afridi may be a retired cricketer but he’s still an entertainer as the boom boom batsman is seen taking on a range of avatars in a viral video.

When a video of the cricket all-rounder dressed up in various costumes surfaced on the Internet, it quickly went viral and fans were wired.

Fans are in a twist as to what is this and why is Afridi dressed like a doctor, taxi driver, construction worker or Shiekh?

“Aap log confuse toh ho gaye honge… bataunga lekin kyon. (You must have become confused… but I’ll tell you why)”.

If the cricketer’s 8,000 runs in 398 ODIs wasn’t enough to wrap our heads around now we’re trying to make sense of all the roles the sports star scored. The video features Afridi as a Dubai taxi driver, a doctor, a worker at a construction site, a regular office goer, and an Emirati in cultural clothing.

The video seems to have been shot in Dubai. We don’t know what for though. Pakistani vlogger Umar Khan is also a part of the campaign. The vlogger shared a video of himself on the set of the shoot with Afridi on his Instagram account.

The cricketer has a number of endorsements and is involved in a number of campaigns from commercial to humanitarian.

Besides that, Afridi has his own cause #HopeNotOut that is supported by a number of Pakistani celebrities like fellow cricketer Wasim Akram to artist Fahad Mustafa and even politician and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The campaign is based on humanity standing for humanity and is spearheaded by the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
