Xiaomi Launches Mi 8 Lite for Rs. 34,999 in Pakistan

Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Mi 8 Lite in Pakistan, which is part of the company’s flagship Mi 8 series.

Mi 8 Lite features a glass back that has a mirror-like gradient finish. With a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor on the front, and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC, Mi 8 Lite will fulfill the needs of those who want great photos and a fluid experience on their smartphones.

Stylish gradient design

The design of Mi 8 Lite was inspired by the works of famous French Impressionist painter Claude Monet, whose paintings are renowned for bringing out the effect of light on natural colors.

The glass back employs an advanced NCVM color process, resulting in a mesmerizing mirror-like gradient finish. The 7.5mm slim body of Mi 8 Lite houses a 6.26-inch 19:9 IPS LCD full-screen display, with an FHD+ (2246 x 1080) screen resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front.

The 24MP front camera produces amazing selfies

With over 24 million pixels, the front-facing Sony IMX576 sensor on Mi 8 Lite is able to capture images in great detail. In low light conditions, the sensor uses Super Pixel technology to combine the information of four pixels into one large pixel, resulting in improved clarity, especially in indoor scenarios. As with Mi 8, the rear AI dual camera uses the Sony IMX363 as its main sensor, which comes with large 1.4µm pixels for images, resulting in less noise, along with Dual Pixel Autofocus to dramatically improve focusing speeds so you won’t miss your shot.

The high-performance camera hardware is paired with Xiaomi’s AI features, including a new AI adjustable bokeh that allows you to change the depth of field after taking a picture. Meanwhile, the Mi 8 Lite display can light up in different colors to suit different scenarios when taking selfies, intelligently illuminating the face with the right color temperature for great-looking selfies.

Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 for a fast, fluid experience

Mi 8 Lite is powered by the Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 octa-core SoC with Artificial Intelligence Engine (AIE) designed for high performance and great power efficiency. Enjoy a smooth, lag-free experience when watching movies, playing games, or browsing the web thanks to the Qualcomm® KryoTM architecture, Qualcomm® AdrenoTM 512 GPU, and up to 6GB LPDDR4x DRAM.

Mi 8 Lite sports a 3350mAh battery and supports Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 3.0. It also offers AI face unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor so securing your device is a seamless experience.

Mi 8 Lite will hit shelves in Pakistan on February 6, 2019, in Aurora Blue. It will be available in 4GB+64GB for PKR 34,999 at Daraz.pk

  • This is an absurd joke. Sd660 is outdated. In this price even note 7 redmi beats it with camera and battery , might even in performance . As compare to this crap, I would go for redmi 7 pro with 675 SOC and sony imax camera, impeccable mid-ranger with big battery, 11nm processor and absolutely versatile design.

  • I think it will not be so popular due to its tablet like size. I don’t know what xiomi is trying to do with its cells. We need a good cell that we could adjust in our pockets. Such things will loose their market even after having the beautiful features.
