With PSL fever rocketing, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has also cashed in, deciding to facilitate the cricket fans.
According to reports, PIA will offer daily flights to the Emirati cities where the PSL matches are scheduled. These include Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
The national flag carrier has allocated Airbus 320 and Boeing 777 for the daily flights to the Emirates. Boeing 777 has the capacity to accommodate 300 passengers whereas Airbus 320 can carry 170 people. The flights are scheduled to operate from four airports including Peshawar, Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
The decision was taken to ensure a higher attendance at the cricket grounds.
PSL starts later tonight with the first match scheduled between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars. Dubai is set to host 14 matches, 8 in Sharjah while 4 matches will be played in Abu Dhabi.
The Pakistani leg of the league will start in Karachi on 7 March 2019, with matches distributed in Lahore and Karachi.
