Amendment in regulation 8 of S.R.O 397(l)12016;-: In regulation 8 of Regulations for Technical Implementation of Mobile Banking 2016 at page 1390 of S.R.O 397(1)12016 of 2016, sub-regulation (2) of regulation 8 shall be substituted and read as follows;

“Telecom operator(s), AFI(s) and TPSP(s) shall enter into interconnects agreements as per the terms and conditions set out in SLA to extend ‘telecommunication services and systems to facilitate each other in the provision of technical services for mobile banking’.

  • This would be a fruitful step of the regulator under the SBP initiatives to deregulate services to the rapidly growing financial sector in Pakistan

  • SBP & PTA needs to work closely with telcos and banks to formalize standards and pricing for mobile banking services.

  • PTA walay chor aur SBP walay nikammay hain. Mobile banking aur apps istamal krna bohot risky hai Pak mein.
