Earlier this month at Computex, ASUS introduced refreshed versions of its Vivobook S series laptops. The updated notebooks feature the all-new ScreenPad 2.0, a touchpad with integrated display, and some other premium features.
The Vivo S14 and S15 as the names suggest, come with 14 inch and 15 inch LCD panels with thin bezels featuring FHD screen resolution along with 178 degrees viewing angles.
ScreenPad and its Features
The ScreenPad sports a 5.6-inch FHD display that can be used as a second screen for Windows, allowing for a lot of multitasking. It can also be used to handwrite, can be switched to a NumPad, or automate repetitive keyboard sequences.
Hardware wise, the notebooks are based on Intel’s 8th Gen processors (up to quad-core Core i7-8565U) that are accompanied by 16GB of RAM as well as up to 1TB of PCIe/NVMe SSD. Premium models of the laptop will also come with NVIDIA’s GeForce MX 250 2GB.
There’s a 47Wh 2-cell battery within the laptop which can be charged from 0 to 69% in 49 minutes only. As for connectivity, you have three USB A ports, one USB C port, one HDMI output, a microSD slot, and a 3.5-mm audio jack. There’s also support for Bluetooth 5.0
The Asus VivoBook S series is famous for featuring colorful paint jobs on their laptops and this year is no different. You get a total of five color choices – Moss Green, Punk Pink, Cobalt Blue, Transparent Silver, and Gun Metal.
Pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
