Pakistan’s run-machine, Babar Azam has impressed everyone in the recent Vitality Blast 2019. His performances were not only appreciated by the Pakistanis but also across the globe.
In his recent stint with Somerset in County cricket, the 24-year-old won many hearts, including those of his fellow teammates, much like Azhar Ali, who played for the same club.
Babar played all of the Blast T20 matches for his, scoring 578 runs from 13 innings. He is the first Pakistani player to cross the 500-run mark in a T20 league and he is still the highest runs-scorer of the season despite the fact that his team hasn’t reached the playoffs.
On his return to Pakistan, the club has paid a tribute to their top-performing batsman.

In addition to the Blast T20, he was roped in by Somerset for a solitary County Championship match against Warwickshire. He scored a crucial 40 in the 4th innings to help his side chase down the target of 258 runs.
